(Yes, I know they didn't develop it, but it's based on their IP and they published it, so close enough.) I was hoping it'd be better than the (few) reviews suggested. ![]() As an old fan of Interplay from before they were dead, I couldn't resist seeing their latest. I'd certainly been thinking about getting this, despite the poor reviews, and I did. So, I picked this up yesterday, after putting some money in the Wii shop to get Monster World IV. I may trudge through it a bit more, but so far it's wandering through a generic dungeon, finding keys to open doors. I'm rather puzzled as to what they were trying to do with this game, exactly. ![]() Note that slashing requires holding A, swinging from left to right, and then releasing A - which then triggers a slash animation a moment later. Oh - I think there MAY be 4 enemy types in the game, total. The sidekick appears to do little but randomly attack creatures and pop into existence just ahead of you whenever you move (shades of that one Sherlock Holmes game). The game seems more polished than I was expecting, but it really feels like a clunky 2006/2007 3rd party title. Somehow, the game is both worse than I expected and better than I expected. The ONLY things that don't require motion are basic movement, jumping, and holding up the shield. Every single one requires a unique motion. There are multiple kinds of attack, multiple weapons, and multiple spells. ![]() 1) It's a "sequel" in the "world of Stonekeep".Ģ) It's a first person dungeon exploration game.ģ) It has horrible 3rd party 2006-2008 era Wii motion controls.
